Become A Rider:

Thomas on horseback.

Prospective riders who express an interest in the program are provided with information and the forms required for application.

1. Rider Release and Application

2. Medical Release

3. Pre-Screening paperwork.

Once your application has been processed, you will be contacted to schedule a "screening." Our screenings last anywhere from 15 - 40 minutes, depedning upon the rider. They conist of going over questions with the evualuators, followed by mouting the horse and riding. Your Pre-Screen paperwork is a great way for us to asses what horse may be the best fit for the screening.  Once the screening is over, the evaluators will deem if our program is a safe activity for the applicant. In order to comfirm a lesson spot day/time, the application must have ALL of the forms listed below turned in before they can ride.

Therapeutic Goals

Once lessons start, therapeutic goals are established and progress is documented. If you have any new goals that you would like your rider to work on throughout the session, please contact us as soon as you can to get their goals updated. Lesson activities may include developing basic riding skills, exercises, grooming, groundwork, team building or games.

PATH Intl Instructor

All of our lessons are taught by a PATH Intl certified instructor. These instructors have gone through a long process of written exams, teaching contact hours and a 2 day certification process to get to be able to teach!

Lesson Format

We try to keep our group classes small, with 2-4 riders per lesson time. One to three lessons are held each lesson night. For example, 4:00pm - 5:00pm, 5:00pm - 6:00pm, 6:00pm - 7:00pm, with that one hour time slot.

Age Requirements

Riders must be at least four years of age to participate. There is no maximum age, as long as the rider has no physical or medical complications.

Sessions & Fees

Each lesson is $40.00. Each session varies 10 to 11 weeks. Scholarships are available on a limited basis for riders with financial needs! If you are interested, please contact us.
